feb 1, 1813 - Inua take Vestfirðir
Description:
Inua captured the north western coast of Vestfirðir, Iceland and attempted a push south to the capital. However, the forces were quickly defeated by the might of the Icelandic troops and pushed back. They held the village of Flateyri and the surrounding area for the next eighteen months, due to the Icelandic authorities simply not caring about the place too much. At the end of the war, Inua managed to strike a deal with Iceland, in which they got the whole of Vestfirðir and in return payed 100,000þ every year until Iceland saw fit for them to stop. Inua held Vestfirðir for 101 years, until the outbreak of WWI.
