mar 5, 1895 - Judson Hyatt was shot & killed by the then county sheriff and former town marshal J T McAllister Sr in the 2nd-floor NW bedroom. Shooting was deemed justifiable at the Coroner's inquest, but still had suspicious circumstances. Buried in Fort Valley GA.
