Description:

The cause for the Revolt was, Mexico won independence form Mexico, Anglo farmers migrated to Texas, but the Anglo Settlers had problems with obeying Mexico's laws with slaves and converting to Catolism . General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna abolished the Federal government and enforced Mexico's laws. The effect was Santa Anna and Sam Houston getting captured and thretened to recognize texas as and independent republic. Sam houston became president of the Republic of Texas and tried to annex Texas, but got denied
