Description:

The 13th Amendment, created in 1865 was created to abolish slavery in the United States. While Citizenship and Rights were not granted in the 13th Amendment, the 14th Amendment granted citizenship and equal protection under the law. Lastly, the 15th Amenemnt, created in 1870, Gave African American men the write to vote to expand political participation. All the amendments were all an effort to help slaves and African Americans.
