Description:

Prior to the Emancipation Proclamation, the Election of 1860 kicked off Abraham Lincolns Presidency to America and talks of the South seceding from the Union grew. While Abraham Lincoln was becoming President, the Civil war had started in hopes to keep the Union together. As the Civil War continued Abraham Lincoln wanted more support internationally. This all led to the Emancipation Proclamation, where Abraham Lincoln declares that slaves shall be free in the United States. This changed whole point of the war, from focusing keeping the States together to Slavery.
