The North and the South used different strategies to win the war. The South had an advantage , as it was their home that the war was taking place so they had to protect and survive, with a good military leadership with General Robert E. Lee. The Norths advantage was using its Industrial materials and railroads, along with the high population of free people in the North to send to battle. A strategy North used was the "Andaconda Plan" to squeeze the souths economy out and block what the South would need for War.
