CAUSE
-Impressment with soldiers (U.S was dependent on trade with other nations, but with Britain continuous Impressment it made it hard.)
-Troubles with Britain on the Western Frontier
-> America wanted more land on
west but French Canadians and
Britain in the West were in the way.
-Britain supported the Indians and leader Tecumseh. Which put Britain at blame for sending aids to Indians
-Warheads put pressure for war, as they said it was honorable to destroy American Indians and Gain Canada
-Britain had delayed a Meeting about Neutrality Acts
EFFECT
-A divided nation with the war
-Madison won Presidential election
-Native Americans Lost Alliance with the British
-U.S gained respect from European Nations
-Treaty of Ghent-peace with Canada and U.S
-Hartford Convention- Group of Federalists discussing the War.
