In 1784, the first housing of Somers Town was built in the Polygon. When the French revolution occurs in 1789, plenty of middle-class people flee from the great upheaval and stayed in Somers Town. After the construction of three main stations (Euston, St. Pancras and King's Cross), the population of Somers Town increased dramatically.
