This virus was origonally tamed by Michaki Takahashi, his three year old son was infected which is what led him to develope a vaccine which is now used all around the world. Varicella is a very contagious viral disease that effects mainly childeren. As of Today this vaccine includes two doses, the first dose should be given in the first 12-15 months of age and the second dose should be given at 4-6 years of age. People 13 years and older who never got vaccinated should get two doses at least 28 days apart.
