Czar Nicholas II leaves to lead in World War I, and while he is gone Czarina Alexandra, wife of Nicholas, meets Rasputin, a mystic, and makes him her new adviser. He claims he can predict the future, but he ends up, with Alexandra, bringing Russia to even more ruin.
