Many developed countries have spent heavy funds to further their knowledge about the world beyond our own. There are hundreds of attempts to send rovers and satellites into other atmospheres in attempts to gain more knowledge and these attempts will go on until humans have understood it all. Mars is a specific topic of interest because of the discovery of water a few feet underneath the surface. The possibility of other life on Mars is what continues to bring humans back.
