This act aimed at countering damage to the natural ecosystems on public lands. This act put in place the systems for forest management that we are now accustomed to following.
Effect on Oregon Forestry:
The NFMA has affected Oregon Forestry by conserving forests and how we can use the forest's resources by implementing rules and regulation that represent the legalities of foresting.
