The Crater Lake National Park was established in 1902 as America's 6th National park. This was formed by the eruption of Mazama about 7,700 years ago which basically formed the lake.
Effect on Oregon Forestry:
It has become a tourist attraction and has therefore added human structures that offers information and history of the National Parks Service. During FDR's presidency, workers helped plant trees and industrialized the area.
