In 1848, Women’s rights movements became national, beginning in Seneca Falls, New York. A convention led by Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott led to the Women's right movements center around the right to vote. Many women activist including Susan B. Anthony created organization in order to raise public attention of deprived women's rights mainy the right to vote. After seventy years of fighting for women’s suffrage the nineteenth amendment was ratified granting women the right to vote.
