20 h 54 m, 19 ene 1919 año - Eighteenth Amendment Ratified
Descripción:
Prohibition movements were occurring all over the US in the late 1800s, mostly directed by religious groups who only saw alcohol as a threat to the nation. These movements hit their peak when the eighteenth amendment was passed banning all manufacture, sale and transportation of alcohol. However this was proved difficult to enforced and only led to more organized crime, law enforcement corruption, raise in taxes and bootlegging of alcohol.
