11 h 35 m, 31 dic 1600 año - The Charter of the English East India Company
Descripción:
The Chartering of the British East India Company was a little known event throughout Europe at the time. England was a peripheral power, and events within the poor and isolated island kingdom were little regarded by the giants of European politics; Spain, Portugal, Austria and the Netherlands. However, the isolated islands east India company would go on to become a worldwide force to be reckoned with, gradually taking over India, and repeatedly defeating it's dutch rival at sea. The East India Companies combination of mercantile cleverness, naval power and ruthless conquest would make it an invaluable extension of the English state, and it's foundation marked the beginnings of the English domination at sea.
