1 ene 1863 año - The Emancipation Proclamation

Descripción:

The Emancipation Proclamation is declared by United States President Abraham Lincoln on
January 1, 1863, "that all persons held as slaves" within the rebellious states "are, and henceforward shall be free.” The Emancipation Proclamation is issued to redefine the Civil War,
turning it from a struggle to preserve the Union to one focused on ending slavery. In addition,
Lincoln personally hated slavery, and considered it immoral.

Although, it was primarily presented as a military measure, and Lincoln didn’t actually free any of slaves when he signed the Emancipation Proclamation, the proclamation marked a crucial shift in Lincoln’s views on slavery. This had led the Americans to rethink about the slavery, and by the constitutional amendment of 1865, it eventually has become the basis for the all emancipation of slaves.

The Emancipation Proclamation indicates the liberty from oppression and guaranteeing
human dignity which refer to positive rights.
