1 ene 1850 año - California's Bid for Addmission
Descripción:
When California wanted to become a part of the union, it created heated debates in Congress. Calhoun was a reason for the heated debates. He said that under the Constitution, Congress had no power to regulate slavery, so therefore, California should be admitted into the union as a slave state. Of course, northern abolitionists strongly apposed this view. These dissagreements were the cause for the complex compromise.
