March 22, 1765 was the day Parliament passed the Stamp Act in the colonies. The Stamp Act was a tax that people had to pay for if they wanted have a document printed. Such as, wills, newspapers, marriage licenses, calientes, birth certificates, and etc. Due to the Stamp Act colonists rebelled and terrorized British tax collectors causing for them to quit their jobs so much that the tax was repealed.
