This agreement gave Afghanistan independence from the U.S.S.R. and caused 100,000 troops to be withdrew from Afghanistan. However, The Mujahedeen still have the weapons they were given by various countries and will begin becoming more extreme as time goes on. This leads to the quality of life of many people to go down and caused many deaths. Eventually the Mujahedeen will stage a military coop of sorts and will overthrow the ruler and appoint their own leader and put in place their own extremist rules (Desk 2011).
