MotorDevelopment - 6 months My vision is 20/100 Babies do not have good vision and it is often referred to as binocular vision This is especially apparent within the first couple of months
Physical Development (6-12) months My head is noticeably larger in proportions to the rest of my body. Babies grow from top to bottom and the rest of my lower body will even out in proportions eventually. This is known as Cephalocaudal. An example would be Stewie from the not so family show, Family Guy
Motor Skill 6-10 months I began to start crawling! I am a little late being 10 months in, but better late than never. Most other babies get a head start in crawling around 6-10 months, but it never hurts to be late to the party. My improvement in gross motor skill allows me to do my crawling but I hear that some babies can skip crawling and go straight into walking. It is very fun!!
Emotional 3 months Laughter I experience laughter for the first time. I couldn't stop laughing. My cousin Issac came over and kept making silly faces. This emotion typically comes in at around 3-4 months Laughter is only one of many types of emotions babies experience during the first year of life
Emotional Development 12 months Insecure Avoidant: My mother leaves to go to a work meeting so I stay home with my uncle who is visiting. He is not good at handling babies and I feel awkward with him around. The caregiver tends to be unavailable or rejecting in insecure avoidant. I don't blame him to this day, he lives by himself in the state of Texas. He is not use to being a baby-sitter
18-24 months Cognitive Development I stand up and pretend to be a tree. I am taking part in animism because I am pretending to be a non- living object. I imagine their are birds that land on me for fun. This animism is a trait that most kids pick up later in their infancy.
18 months Social/Emotional Development Many parents friend's and family come to our house for the holidays. I have someone hold down my arms and I get really angry. This is because of temperament. I do not like how strangers are restricting me Tempermant is like a scale in reference to a baby's level of agitation to respond with angeror to lash out.
Cognitive Development Hide and Seek My parents play hide and seek by hiding my favorite toy under a blanket. I was fooled by this earlier like 6-18 months years of age, but my development in cognitive development allows me to see through the trick because I am around 2 years of age.
Cognitive Development 24 months Egocentrism I feed my Cookie Monster Toy with cookies. Egocentrism development means I am able to see the perspective of other things outside of myself. I am just barely beginning to take in other types of perspective near the end of infancy.
Non Normative My parents told me that I preferred my father's voice over my mother's This is a little strange given the fact that most babies prefer their mother's voice because of listening to their mom's voice in the womb.
