Major Event 2: A series of bombs were set off in the Mumbai, India train network on July 11, inflicting damage upon at least 7 trains. The attack conjured memories of a similar situation in 1993, when 250 people were killed in intense explosions throughout the city. This time, the death toll was lower, at 190, but more than 600 people were reported as injured. 12 men were convicted of murder and conspiracy for the bombings and 7 of them were sentenced to death. The attack is said to have been planned by neighboring country Pakistan’s intelligence base PSI.
