It opened this year. It was an immigration station. Located in the Hudson river between New York and New Jersey. They escaped their countries for many reasons and were transported to Ellis Island where they waited in long lines for tags and medical checks. 40 percent of all current U.S. citizens can trace at least one of their ancestors to Ellis Island. 40 percent of all current U.S. citizens can trace at least one of their ancestors to Ellis Island.
