When put under pressure to defeat the Dakota, Henry Sibley gathers his troops and moves up the Minnesota river. They stay the night at Wood Lake, but in the morning, a group of soldiers find some Dakota hiding out in preparation to attack the forces. A battle begins, with the U.S. soldiers coming out on top.
