Had gained the support of Earl of Desmond, but was driven out of Ireland by Edward Poynings. Fled to Scotland and James IV gave him a royal welcome. He married James IV cousin and invaded England with James' support, unsuccessfully. Truce of Ayton meant that Warbeck had to leave Scotland. Went to Cornwall where he hoped to profit from the Cornish rebellion but had little support and was arrested
