The First Industrial Revolution was the most important event of this century because it had the most dramatic effect. The new developments in farming lead to an increased population. Also there was an increase in production of the heavy industry creating more jobs in factories. Lastly the development of the railroad lead to the ability to transport goods and military changing the effectiveness of nations.
