Quasi-dynamic walking was first realized by WL-9DR. It used a microcomputer
as the controller. It could take one step every 10 seconds. It was
developed by Ichiro Kato at the Department of Mechanical Engineering School
of Science and Engineering, Waseda University, Tokyo. [4]
