The Royal commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism is a royal commission that was created in response to growing unrest amongst French canadians who wanted the protection of their language and culture, as well as an opportunity to participate in political decisions. It led to changes in french education all over the country and creation of department of multiculturalism and The Official languages act.
