A Hungarian physician who set in place hand-washing, as it drastically reduces the number of women dying after childbirth. He stepped away from "miasmas". He studies deaths between hospitals and midwives and saw a drastic difference. Physicians weren't washing their hands after autopsies, before delivering babies.
