By early AD 100 the Romans had expanded to Gaul, Central Europe, most of the island of Britain, Asia Minor, Mesopotamia and the eastern coast of the Mediterranean. With these new places conquered, they could easily trade metals, cloth, and food. They brought more exotic things also such as spices and silk from Asia Minor and various animals from Africa.
They received jewelers, glass and clothing from artisans.
