19 abr 1775 ano - Battle of Lexington and Concord
Descrição:
The Battles of Lexington and Concord were known as the first battles of the American Revolution, which coined the saying “The shot heard ‘round the world”. The British wanted to capture colonial leaders and war supplies in order to squash the possibility of a colonial revolt. The colonists then realized that being in colonies under the rule of Britain was no longer possible, and started to push free from their overbearing mother country. Thomas Paine published his work “Common Sense” in order to convince the colonists that revolution was impending and to join the cause of the colonists.
