Around 1000 A.D. Vikings landed in america lead by Leif Erikson. While Leif Erikson was in North America he made contact with some Native American. Leif Erikson discovered timber and grapes. The vikings left North America after a lot of pressure by the Native Americans. The vikings returned only for trading and not for colonization.
