Elastic Clause (may 14, 1787 – sep 17, 1787)
Description:
The Elastic Clause otherwise known as the Necessary and Proper Clause was written into the constitution sometime during the constitutional convention. This clause shifts more power in the direction of the federal government. This clause says that Congress can pass any law deemed necessary and proper in order to help Congress carry out one of its enumerated powers.
