The Enlightenment (jan 1, 1770 – jan 1, 1770)

Description:

The Enlightenment was a period of time where reasoning was used to differentiate between good or bad opposed to God. It started in the 1700’s and featured numerous philosophers who brought awareness to aspects of life including government, religion, the economy, and education. Originally it started in Europe and later came to North America. The philosophers strongly influenced the colonist which led them to rebel, because Americans believed that Great Britain violated their natural rights and England did not have the right to control them.
