Description:

0 - 312 AD

Christianity spread from Jerusalem across Judea to Rome, throughout the empire and beyond.

Christian beliefs, teachings and customs were formulated and the New Testament was written.

The Church debated issues surrounding Christian faith and life of Christian communities, some which caused controversy.

Members of the Church faced persecution as the Jewish authorities did not agree with Christians claiming Christ to be the Son of God and celebrating the Eucharist. They believed it violated Gods law.
