Description:
Franz was born in Feldsberg, Austria. Joseph Bauer was the court painter to the Princes of Liechtenstein. His mother and father gave him artistic training. His father was a naturalist physician. Franz used his artistic training in his profession as a botanist illustrator. He was even the first in-house botanical illustrator at the royal gardens in England.www.lindahall.org
