40 years in the desert (apr 17, 1490 BC – apr 17, 1450 BC)
Description:
The time that Israel spent wandering in the desert was 40 years. They could have entered the promised land as early as one year after the Exodus, but because of their lack of faith, God condemned most of that generation to live out the rest of their lives in the desert, and their children would then go into the land after them. Only Joshua and Caleb outlived that generation and saw the promised land.Added to timeline:
