Moses' life (oct 13, 1571 BC – oct 13, 1451 BC)

Description:

Moses, son of Amram. Born 1571 BC, two sons in the land of Midian, who's names were Gershom and Eleazar. He died at 120 years old on Mount Nebo in the land of Moab.

Moses was known to be 40 years old when he fled from Egypt after murdering an Egyptian. At the age of 80, Yahweh met him in physical form of a burning bush, and sent him back to Egypt to deliver God's people from Pharaoh. It's not explicitly stated in the text how old Moses was when he had his sons.

The Pharaoh Tutmoses I had a daughter named Hatshepsut. Secular history relies on Egyptian chronology for the dates of these people. It's known that the Egyptian kings list is highly unreliable, so those dates will not agree smoothly with biblical chronology, which we know to be highly accurate.

It's highly probable that Hatshepsut was the princess mentioned in the bible who found Moses in the river (Ex 2:5-10). According to secular history, she was 12 when she married her half-brother, Tutmoses II, who was most probably the Pharaoh who wanted to kill Moses for murdering an Egyptian (Ex 2:11-15). Yahweh mentions to Moses 40 years later that the Pharaoh that sought to kill him was dead. The succeeding Pharaoh was Tutmoses III, the stepson of Hatshepsut, and she acted as his regent until he was old enough to reign.

It's known that late in his reign, Tutmoses III attempted to eradicate all record and memory of Hatshepsut, which was a serious offensive act towards her. Secular history speculates why he might have done this, but if Hatshepsut is the princess from Exodus, then that puts Tutmoses III as the Pharaoh who Moses contended with to release the Israelites from bondage. We read in the account of Exodus that the Pharaoh had a very hard heart. It's very plausible that he could have defamed Hatshepsut for making Moses who he was - for having allowed Moses to survive the slaughter of the innocents, grow up under her protection and receive official training in the Egyptian royal court.
