Gold first found at Sutter’s MillBetween 1848 and 1852, 220,000 people moved to California
But only a small percentage of those who went actually struck it rich
The ones who did become wealthy were more often those who were more entrepreneurial about it (aka Levi Strauss of Levi’s jeans)
