Battle of the Alamo (feb 23, 1836 – mar 6, 1836)
Description:
Thousands of Mexicans were led by General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna to begin a siege of the fort. However, the Alamo's 200 defenders overpowered them. The battle then became a symbol of their heroic perseverance to oppression and their struggle for independence.
