Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo (feb 2, 1848 – feb 2, 1848)
Description:
This treaty ended the Mexican War in favor of the United States. It added 525,000 square miles to the United States territory. It also made Mexico give up all claims to Texas and recognize Rio Grande as an American southern boundary.
