Hungarian Revolution (oct 23, 1956 – nov 10, 1956)
Description:
On October 23, 1956, protesters took to the streets of Budapest. The Hungarian premier told Soviets to remove soldiers and they complied. The Hungaria premier announced Hungary was leaving the Warsaw Pact. In November, Soviet troops moved into Budapest and crushed the revolution. The premier was executed two years later. This is marked red because it shows communism spreading across Europe.
