Description:
The Korean War was a war that started on June 25, 1950. A ceasefire went into effect on July 27, 1953, but a treaty officially ending the war has not been signed. 5 million died during the Korean War. Korea was separated into two states, North (communist) and South (capitalist). The Korean War is marked purple because, due to the fact that the war is still going on, no side has won. Therefore, neither communism or capitalism advanced due to the Korean War.
