Stresemann Era (aug 13, 1923 – oct 3, 1929)

Description:

Stresemann was foreign minister for Germany in the 1920s and was largely responsible for the Weimar Republics's post-war recovery and subsequent golden era. He was a member of the DVP.
He served as Chancellor until the end of November 1923 when the resignation of SPD cabinet ministers led to a vote of confidence in the cabinet which it failed. The cabinet then resigned but in the succeeding cabinet Stresemann remained foreign minister (and for the following cabinets until his death).
He received a Nobel peace prize for his work in reconciling Germany and France.
