Description:
Between the time period of August 29th, 1974 - September 10th, 1974, Hurricane Carmen, the most intense tropical cyclone of 1974 had destroyed many areas surrounding South America. This hurricane destroyed many towns and companies relating to the ocean. One of which being the biggest shrimping industry, Bayou La Batres which was left in ruins. Forrest Gump, founder of the shrimping industry Bubba Gump Shrimp, was the only shrimping boat that had survived Hurricane Carmen, leading the Bubba Gump shrimp business to boom and eventually be expanded into a multimillion dollar corporation.Added to timeline:
