In July of 1956 Elvis Presley releases the Rock ‘n Roll cover song “Hound Dog” to the public. Forrest and his mama saw Elvis on TV outside of a storefront while passing through town late at night. Elvis was using dance moves during his performance that he had been taught by Forrest four years previously, when he had stayed at their house while on the road before his Rock ‘n Roll career took off.Added to timeline:
