American Revolution (jul 4, 1776 – sep 3, 1783)
Description:
Women assisted in the independance movement by helping Washington's army by cooking for them, knitting clothes for them, washing their clothes, etc. Furthermore, the wives of American politicians often were able to profoundly influence the new government through their husbands. (Change: women influenced politics through husbands instead of sticking to traditional roles)
