Stalin’s “Great Purge” in USSR (sep 29, 1936 – nov 17, 1938)
Description:
This event was intended to kill off any people that supported the Bolshevik revolution and had ties towards anyone from the Bolshevik government. Stalin did this to kill off any threats that would overthrow him from the government. He did this because he was paranoid and wanted to maintain his power as a dictator. If you look at it another way he also wanted to preserve, enhance, and unify the Soviet Union.
