Long March by Chinese Communists (oct 29, 1934 – oct 27, 1935)
Description:
The Long March was a military retreat by the Red Army of Communist China. They did this from the pursuit of the Kuomintang Army. It was series of marches that was about 370 days covering 14,000 miles. They were under the command of Mao Zedong and he escaped this treat. It is significant because had this march never occurred China would have never had a communist government.
