Description:
America declared war on Britain for impressment of sailors and seizure of US ships. Though this was somewhat inconclusive and unsuccessful militarily, it did boost nationalist sentiment in the US as well as popular support for more involvement in foreign affairs and a more interventionist/active foreign policy.Added to timeline:
